SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The academic excellence of the students is mainly brought about by Respect and Obedience to the rules and regulations which are established by the school. Not everything that a student must do in school is to be written down by the administration.
An advanced level student is expected to use his/her wisdom to make clear judgements on every action he/she performs. The school rules are also dynamic; they may change from day to day depending on the needs of that particular time.
To authorize students with full responsibility over his/her individual conduct, Miono High School has the following stated rules and regulations as a guide line to discipline and proper morals to every student.
- It is the responsibility of every student to read, understand and abide by the school rules.
- Every student must obey all the laws of the united Republic of Tanzania. it is Cleary noted that being a student does not provide an excuse for one to disobey the rules of the Republic.
Also, NOTE BEING AWARE OF THE LAW DOES NOT PROVIDE AN EXCUSE FOR NOT BEING CHARGED OF CRIME.
- The school routine should be observed and followed. Always be punctual whenever the bell goes instructed by a teacher, prefect or any other supervisor
- Every student shall dress in complete proper school uniform whenever in the school campus or any academic strip out of school. “shamba dress †can be worn during night preparation hours.
- Every student is ought to respect the government of the United Republic of Tanzania, Teachers, Relatives who reach the school as guests, students' government leaders, his/her fellow students and the community that surrounds the school.
- Every student is required to adhere to principles of cleanliness so as to maintain the cleanliness of his/her own body and the school environment. This involves smartness in putting on the clothes that are allowed at the school, hair and beard shaving and cutting nails.
- Every student is ought to take care of his/her own properties, school properties, and declare bad effects of fellow students who deliberately destroy school properties and students' properties, or those who disturb the conduciveness of school environment through bad acts, abusive languages and other behaviours that are uncouth.
- A student is not allowed to leave school, miss class or to be found in inappropriate area as per organized school activity without permission. Whenever a student is permitted to move out of school he/she must travel in school uniform.
- All permissions of going to Miono will be given by the Patron, Matron or the teacher on duty. Permissions of moving outside the school for short periods of time during scheduled activities will be granted by the teacher on duty under special guidance. More than day permissions must be granted by the head of school.
- A student is not allowed to visit or to enter beer/wine/alcohol markets places, clubs, and music halls, places that sell bhang and drugs, guest houses and other places of sort.
- It is strictly prohibited for any student to use a vessel other than a plate, a bowl or a cup for taking food.
- All students should stay inside the classroom or library for their personal studies after religion session from 19:30pm up to 22:00pm then after, all students should go at the dormitories for sleeping.
- No any student is allowed to stay inside the dormitory or outside the classroom during classroom sessions without any special permission while others are in the classrooms.Â
- It is strictly prohibited for a student to write a letter to other offices without passing it to the headmaster.
- It is not allowed for any student to use any electrical appliances such as radios, heaters iron bars or any kind of technical deal to the electricity system of the school.
- Any students meeting must have permission by the headmaster of the school.
- Phones are strictly prohibited in the school.
- Drawing on the walls, tables, chairs and school books and generally distortion of the school properties are strictly prohibited.
MISCONDUCTS THAT MAY LEAD TO A STUDENT'S EXPULSIONÂ
1. Theft of any kind 2. Prostitution, rape, and homosexuality (being gay or a lesbian).
3. Alcoholism and the use of drugs
4. Smoking bhang, cigarrattes and marijuana.
5. Criminal cases
6. One involving in fights.
7. Purposely destroying school's properties, fellow students' properties and Government's money.
8. Disobeying government's flag or any of government's officials' flags.
9. To marry or to get married.
10. To get pregnant or to impregnate someone.
11. Conducting abortion or to participate in doing abortion.
12. Not attending class periods involving two religion periods as present per every week and other school activities.
13. To strike, initiate, lead and to participate in a strike or to disturb peace and safety of the school community and citizens.
14. Participating/initiating any political party's movement.
15. Refusing corporal punishment. 16. Breaking school rules.
